Dr. Monica Chaudhry, BSc, MSc Optometry, PhD Scholar

Professor Monica Chaudhry currently serves as the Director of the School of Health Science. She has more than 30 years of academic and clinical experience in optometry.

Chaudhry has also served at All India Institute of Medical Sciences and has academic experience with the School of Health Sciences as a consultant for the Optometry Program under the IGNOU and Amity University. She is also the Chairman of the Optometry Council of India and the North Representative of the Association of Schools and Colleges of India.

Chaudhry has received a number of awards for her achievements and in recognition of her academic contributions, including the Shreshtshree Award by the Delhi Citizen Forum and the Australian Leadership Fellowship Award. She also received the IACLE Contact Lens Educator of the Year award in the UK.

In addition to being appointed to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s curriculum development task force,

Chaudhry has also published three books on optometry and eye health: “Low Vision” (2006), “Contact Lens Primer” (2007) and “Refraction and Prescription” (2010).
