Sayed Jovkar, MD, FICS, Content Reviewer

Dr. Jovkar is a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the eye. He is medical director of Medical and Surgical Vision Care, Inc. an eye care practice in Los Gatos, Calif., as well as a staff ophthalmologist at Stanford University Hospital. Previously he served for four years as chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Los Gatos Hospital.

In addition to a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Jovkar also has a master's degree in biomedical engineering. He also received his medical degree and completed his residency in ophthalmology at McGill.

He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
