Follow these steps to find an eye doctor who specializes in diabetic eye exams:
Using the toolbar at the bottom of the locator, choose “Edit Search” and use the drop-down menus to select “Visit an Eye Doctor.”
In the next box, enter your location by typing in your address or postal code. You can also press the blue circle icon on the right side of the box to find your device’s location.
In the last box, select your insurance provider. If you don’t have insurance, select “I’ll pay for myself.” If you would rather add insurance information later, select “I’ll choose my insurance later.” Once you have edited these items, you can close out of the “Edit Search” box.
Click on the “Filter” button next to the “Edit Search” button on the toolbar. A menu will appear from the right side of the page. Click the word “Specialty,” then scroll down and select the box next to “Diabetic Specialist.”
Scroll to the top of the menu and click the blue “Done” button. The search results should update automatically.
